Nokia today showcased its new mobile games, the Nokia N-Gage™ game deck, at "Get Ready to N-Gage" events in London, UK and Sydney, Australia. The Nokia N-Gage™ mobile game deck offers a new gameplay experience, bringing top titles from the biggest names in the games industry into the palm of your hand and out onto the mobile network. With its multi-player action via Bluetooth™ and WAP over GPRS, the game deck opens up new possibilities for both local and remote multiplayer gaming.

The high performance games for Nokia N-Gage game deck are sold separately on game cards (using the MultiMediaCard standard). Game cards allow for a new kind of mobile gameplay experience with richer graphics, enhanced sound, and more extensive game worlds in which to play. Nokia will also act as a game publisher to create branded N-Gage game titles and develop an evolving games portfolio.

Nokia N-Gage game deck devices and game titles will be available in major retail outlets, game-specific and video game retail outlets, as well as in regular mobile phone delivery channels in all major markets.

American gaming colossus Activision is poised to work closely with Nokia on developing new games for the N-Gage™ mobile game deck. Renowned for legendary games such as Pandemonium, Activision is planning an optimized version of this title for the new mobile game deck.

Activision set to cause Pandemonium on Nokia N-Gage™

Dedicated to supplying content on a range of global formats, games giant Sega has partnered with Nokia to provide games for the Nokia N-Gage™ mobile game deck. Look out for modern game classics such as SonicN, Super Monkey Ball, Puyo Puyo, Virtual Tennis, and SEGA Rally coming out later this year. All titles will be showcased at Nokia events in London on February 5th 2003 and Sydney, Australia on February 6th 2003.

Taito revisits the golden age with Nokia N-Gage™

Since 1953, Taito has been leading the games market; now it brings its retro-chic arcade legends to the Nokia N-Gage™ mobile game deck. Offering classics such as Puzzle Bobble VS and Taito Memories, a collection of favorites including Super Space Invaders, Taito and Nokia are about to bring old school to the new wave.

Puzzle Bobble VS is a highly popular fighting action puzzle game formatted specifically for the Nokia N-Gage. THQ Wireless locks on to Nokia N-Gage™ mobile game deck

World leaders in mobile phone gaming, THQ Wireless, now step up to the next level, developing software in association with the Nokia N-Gage™ mobile game deck. Sports and action titles MotoGP™, MLBPA Players Choice Baseball (working title), and Red Faction will be available when the Nokia N-Gage game deck goes on sale in the fall of 2003.

The games, which will be available on memory cards, include such additional features as near distance multiplayer gaming over Bluetooth as well as downloadable and uploadable mobile elements.

Nokia and T-Mobile put their mobile heads together

T-Mobile International and Nokia announce today that they have agreed to co-develop innovative mobile services globally for the Nokia N-Gageýýý game deck. As a result, mobile gamers will have an easy to use experience that allows the download of games and game related content using the latest technologies. T-Mobile intends to be the first network operator deploying games commercially for the Nokia N-Gage game deck in Europe and in the US market, with online functionality.
