Infogrames confirme la suppression de 60% de ses effectifs en France
Infogrames a présenté lors d'un comité d'entreprise extraordinaire son « projet de plan de sauvegarde du groupe » , prévoyant notamment la suppression de 280 emplois en France, soit 60% des effectifs de l'Hexagone. L'éditeur de jeux vidéo lyonnais prévoit de fermer son studio interne de développement Lyon House, d'entamer une « réduction radicale » de son département publishing (les activités situées entre le développement et la distribution de jeux), d'arrêter « toutes les activités périphériques non stratégiques » et de réduire « massivement » les services supports et les « fonctions holding » . « Une réduction très importante de l'effectif est incontournable pour assurer le redressement d'Infogrames » , justifie le groupe. « D'autres réductions interviendront parallèlement dans d'autres pays européens et notamment en Grande-Bretagne » .
