Vivendi veut coter ses jeux vidéo début 2003
Selon «Les Echos», le groupe veut introduire sur le Nasdaq sa division jeux vidéo VUG au 1e r semestre 2003 et lever 800 millions de dollars.
Le groupe présidé par Jean-René Fourtou devrait conserver entre 51 et 60 % du capital de VUG et espère ainsi lever 800 millions de dollars sur une valorisation de la société comprise entre 1,5 et 2,5 milliards. Vivendi Universal continuera ainsi de garder le contrôle de VUG afin de bénéficier des marges importantes que dégage sa filiale (22 % d'Ebitda l'an dernier). VUG devrait réaliser entre 750 et 850 millions d'euros de chiffre d'affaires pour son exercice clôt en 2002 avec des taux d'Ebitda de 25 % en Europe et aux Etats-Unis, et de 57 % en Asie.
